Anita LAPIDUS, President
Anita is Vice President and Principal of The MIBRO Group, a leading supplier of hardware, hand tools and power tool accessories to the North American retail market. MIBRO's Canadian and U.S. operations employ more than 130 individuals. She has been actively involved in the growth of the company since 1979. Prior to this she worked with Leo Burnett Advertising in Toronto, as an account executive, and with Coca Cola Export Corporation, as Marketing Research Specialist in Atlanta, Georgia with responsibilities for the Caribbean and West Indies.
Her educational background includes an MBA from Georgia State University and a Certificate in Effective Health Care Governance from the Ontario Hospital Association.
From 1996 to present, her community activities have focused on governance and committee work at Baycrest Centre for Geriatric Care and its allied Baycrest Centre Foundation
First elected to the FSA Board at AGM 2001, Anita was appointed Vice-President in 2003 and appointed President in 2006.
In past Anita has been a member of the Marketing and Development Committee, the Innovations Fund Advisory Committee, the Governance Committee and two executive director search committees. Anita is currently an ex-officio member of all board committees.
