Work placement marks major victory for FSA Options client
When Chris first came to the Options program for people with intellectual disabilities at the Family Service Association of Toronto (FSA), he was very shy and didn't speak to anyone except his father.
During his time with the Options program, his confidence has increased and he began communicating with single words. He recently completed a job placement with RBC Royal Bank that was arranged through the Options program.
The job placement was great for Chris and his coworkers were
very supportive. Just a few weeks after starting the placement, Chris
began to speak in phrases and whole sentences. His confidence and
sense of self-worth have improved dramatically and he has made great
progress, as well as building up his resume and contributing financially
to his family.
