FAMILY PRIDE PICS
Family Pride was a big success this year. More than 200 people attended the LGBT Parenting Network picnic on Saturday, and parents and children and friends made use of the space all through the weekend. Thank you to Pride Toronto, to all the volunteers and committee members who helped out, to the children’s entertainers, and to Ikea for their sponsorship and for providing snacks, chairs, blankets, activities and play things. Special thanks to Ron Ophir for all his hard work. Ron has been made coordinator of Family Pride for next year. If you attended Family Pride this year we welcome any feedback and suggestions for next year.

LGBTTQ CURRENT AND PROSPECTIVE ADOPTIVE MOTHERS NEEDED
Are you a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, two-spirited or queer (LGBTTTQ) woman?
Are you in the process of adopting or have you recently adopted a child?
If so, we want to hear from you!
Researchers from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and the LGBT Parenting Network of the David Kelley Program, Family Service Association of Toronto are working on a research study about the emotional experiences of LBTTTQ women adoptive parents and parents- to-be.
Your participation would involve taking part in one 1.5-hour focus group to be held in downtown Toronto. Participants will be partially compensated for their expenses.
We encourage women from diverse communities, including women of colour, transgender, transsexual and two-spirit women, to respond.

NEWS FROM THE COMMUNITY:
NONBIOLOGICAL LESBIAN MOMS: CONTRIBUTORS NEEDED FOR NEW ANTHOLOGY
I am collecting essays for 'Confessions from the Other Mother: Nonbiological Lesbian Moms Tell All,' a much needed anthology by and about non-biological lesbian moms. The book is set for release on Mother's Day 2006.
I'm looking for wry, funny, satirical, poignant, sad, joyous, serious, whatever voice it takes, parenting tales (light on the custody issue, heavy on the trials, tribulations, and joys of everyday life). Submissions should not exceed 25 pages.
Thanks to the enormity of and response to this project, the deadline for submissions has been extended until July 15, 2005 . If you are interested in contributing or would like further information about this project, please contact me:
