Talking in Circles

You are invited to participate in Talking In Circles
A five part workshop series sponsored by Family Service Association of Toronto - OPTIONS

In Talking in Circles you will participate with other family members in learning about Support Circles.

Support circles are groups of people who create better ways for individuals with disabilities to fully participate in community. Support Circles are powerfully effective! At Talking In Circles you will learn how Circles work and what they can achieve. You will connect to a group of people who can offer you ongoing support and creative ideas.

*Session One – Fundamentals of Circle Building I
Monday, October 30, 6:30pm- 9:30 pm

Some support circles are groups of serious planners, others party their way to inclusion. What makes a Support Circle a "real" circle? This interactive session will cover the fundamentals such as how to support dreaming and story telling, finding people to join the circle, encouraging ongoing invitation…and more.

*Session Two – Fundamentals of Circle Building II

Being "people oriented" requires skills and activities that seem like impossible challenges to many. This session will open up these skills, making them seem more natural and inviting.
