Gift C.A.R.D. Program

After a successful debut in 2005 and by popular request, the Gift C.A.R.D. returns this year
A heartfelt Thank you to all the donors and volunteers who last year Created A Real Difference (C.A.R.D.) in our clients life.
In 2005, we revamped the annual Holiday Hamper campaign so that more of our most vulnerable clients could receive support and more FST friends could become partners for change. We changed the focus from Holiday Hamper donations of goods (food, clothes and toys) to donations of gift cards available at most stores and malls across Toronto.
Although designed mainly for the holiday season, the GIFT C.A.R.D. program collects card donations all year long.
We invite FST supporters and any individuals and groups that want to get involved, to donate gift cards and certificates for any merchant (retailers, restaurants, coffee houses, grocery stores, movie, recreation outlets, etc.). These gifts will be distributed to FST's most vulnerable clients to be used on occasions that are most important to them.
What the Gift C.A.R.D. program offers our clients:
- the Gift of CHOICE — access to products, services and necessities that they need and when they need them the most;
- the Gift of INCLUSION — gift cards are not season specific and can be used for holidays all year round. Not all cards donated during the holiday season will be distributed right away. As many of our clients do not celebrate the holidays recognized in December, we will store cards to distribute to more of clients on occasions that are important to them.
- the Gift of PARTICIPATION — with a gift card for something as simple as a coffee shop, clients for whom isolation contributes to their vulnerability can take part in their communities in ways they can't without your support.
What the Gift C.A.R.D. program offers you:
- The Chance to Create a Real Difference in people's lives, during the holidays and all year round;
- The Chance to be Creative - you can focus your gift card buying around a sample family or you and your friends or colleagues can choose a theme such as: "What's for dinner tonight? ", "Staying Warm", "Keeping Fit" or "What a family needs for 6 months"
