Family Service Toronto joins United Way's 2008 campaign

On September 9, FST staff joined thousands of United Way supporters at Nathan Philips Square for a special joint launch of United Way’s 2008 campaign and the City of Toronto’s annual workplace campaign.

United Way and the City share a common commitment to taking action on some of Toronto’s most serious challenges. The City and United Way came together through the Strong Neighbourhoods Task Force to identify thirteen priority neighbourhoods in need of help, and work closely together in developing common strategies for solving our city’s shared problems. For many years, FST has been serving clients from all thirteen priority neighbourhoods.

Last year, United Way Toronto raised $108.1 million to strengthen neighbourhoods and improve lives across our city.  This year's campaign aims to raise $110,000,000 to continue our collective efforts in building a more vibrant, safe and inclusive Toronto.

United Way is one of the main funders for FST programs and each year our staff and friends fully participate in fundraising for the campaign. Together, we can achieve our goals. To learn how you can help, go to United Way Toronto website.
