Walk for the United Way

We invite you, our supporters, friends and community members, to walk with us for Toronto and the communities we serve.

On September 10, at Queen's Park, the United Way starts its annual fundraising campaign with the 4 km P&G Walk (formerly Leaps and Bounds). The walk will begin at 11:30 a.m. outside the Legislature Building and ends at the north entrance to Queen's Park, south of Bloor.

After the walk, everyone who registered for the event and/or raised pledges will receive an Event Passport which will allow access to the post-walk block party festivities!

Attend the party and unwind with multicultural food, live entertainment and fun games for kids and families.

With the passport you will be able to get food samples from all vendors, complimentary beverages from Coke and access to the kids' play area, Sony World area, United Way Agency Fair and to live entertainment!

Event fee:

  • No fee for registered participants who raised pledges ($20 or more for individuals, $40 or more for a family), or
  • $20 per person and $40 per family

At registration, each participant will receive a United Way 50th anniversary cap and the Event Passport for the Block Party. Participants that pre-registered are required to go to the registration desk to sign-in and receive their cap and passport too.

Note: FSA volunteers can attend the event at no cost by registering with the volunteer department (e-mail Mindy Khu at mindykh@familyservicetoronto.org or call 416 595 9230 ext. 234) no later than Wednesday, September 6, 2006. We will then submit the names to the United Way. If you bring family or friends with you, please let us know their names as well.
